In early January of this year, BINKproductionz debuted on Youtube.com with their fast-growing hit video Badder Romance. The video is a loving parody of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, and had, at the time of printing this article, gained just short of one million (982,305) views, as well as 12,259 ratings, and 10,104 comments. Of the four individuals that helped create this video, I had the distinct privilege of interviewing one of the video's stars and current student here at Knight Campus, Britnee Bloschichak.

David M. Gannon Jr: Britnee, tell me, who is in the video?

Britnee Bloschichak: Me, Nikki D'Albora, Kayla Chin, Ian Gonzales.

DMG: How did you four come together to create such an intriguing piece of work?

BB: We were sitting outside the showcase in Warwick, in my car, and bad romance came on the radio and we all started to dance like freaks and Ian wanted to record it, so he took out his camera to record it, but he didn't press record, so we tried to do it again, this time in Ian's basement , and instead of just fooling around we decided to reenact the entire music video, and plus it was winter break

DMG: How long did it take to rehearse, film, and edit the piece?

BB: It took a week to do everything, we rehearsed and filmed for about 5-6 hours a day, and then Kayla would edit from about 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. each evening, she was pretty badass.

DMG: What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment with making the video?

BB: Well, we were on the Rhode Show, ABC 6, 92 PRO FM's Giovanni and Kim in the Morning, we were on the front page of the feature section of the Providence Journal, and were also in the Boston Globe. Also, we received four brand new, top of the line, flip cameras. Even with all of this, our biggest accomplishment has to be the fact that Lady Gaga herself tweeted about our recreation of her music video.

DMG: How accurate was your video?

BB: It was about 2 seconds off, on average, throughout the video; scene for scene it was exactly the same.

DMG: Have you been recognized for the parody of Bad Romance outside of the school?

BB: Yes, I have, several times. I have been approached in movie theaters and at restaurants. Ian was approached at a club and at Stat Care. They usually say, "Hey! You were in that Lady Gaga video!" The coolest approach was when one of the Ghosthunters (Warwick) came in to the movie theater and was like, "Hey, you were in that Lady Gaga video". And I said, "Hey, you're a ghost hunter". And we high fived.

DMG: What is your follow up to the piece?

BB: I don't think I can tell you that. But there will be one, and it will be filmed in the next few weeks, and should be posted by the end of April.

DMG: Can we expect to see several more pieces from this foursome in the future, other than the follow up piece?

BB: Oh yeah, not just because of the recognition, but because of the fun that we have together while we create the pieces.

DMG: Are there any words of creation/wisdom/stardom that you would like to tell you viewers/classmates/fans?

BB: If you are going to do something like this, do it for fun; don't do it for the fame. Like I said earlier, we are doing it because we have fun doing so, not for the recognition.

DMG: Thank you very much for your time, Britnee.
